We saw her at O'Rourke's Pub, as she talked about her sister but we never thought we would see Mindy in the Guatemalan jungles.
Cindy Hall's twin sister, Mindy, was a surprise visitor to the set of Survivor: Guatemala Thursday night. She was one of six family members brought in to be part of the reward challenge.
Tribe members were given $500 American dollars to bid on items up for auction. A plate of beef jerky was quickly snapped up by Danni. In a trade offer she kept her beef and turned down a pot of uncooked corn.
As the bidding continued, Cindy bought a plate of chocolate chip cookies and a glass of milk for $40, money well spent. Lydia bought a mosquito net for $140 while Danni used the bulk of her money for a sealed envelope that held a key to the immunity challenge, which used in a human chess game and won immunity.
The biggest items up for auction were family members. When Mindy stepped from behind the Mayan ruins, people on the show and watching the show did a double take. Looking just like her sister, slightly better groomed, Mindy brought tears to her sister Cindy's eyes.
Cindy did not have enough money to buy a visit with her identical twin sister.
Judd's wife, Steph's boyfriend, Rafe's mother and Lydia's brother were also there. Rafe wept at the sight of his mom.
Members were allowed to pool their money, and Cindy gave hers to Judd as he bid against Steph, who had just a little more than $700. Judd won his wife for $880.
In a twist to the game, he was allowed to let two members have a visit with their family. He chose Cindy and Steph.
The petite Mindy ran to her sister. Cindy picked Mindy up in her arms and swung her around.
"She's still strong," Mindy said.
After their return to camp, Mindy commented on the bare lifestyle of her sister and other tribe members.
"Everything they do is such a chore," Mindy said.
A night in the camp and then family had to go. After a walk to the beach, Judd, Steph and Cindy waved good-bye.
"It's incredible that my sister got to be here," Cindy said.
Cindy and Mindy graduated from Mason County High School. A cousin of the family, Jerry Barber said he remembered the girls when they very little.
"When they were kids, there was no way you could tell them apart," Barber said. "They were good kids."
Barber said he is proud of his family and the community for supporting Cindy during her reign on Survivor.
And her days continued as tribe members voted Judd out. Although he thought he had an alliance with Rafe, Lydia, Steph and Cindy, Judd got a little of what he has been dishing out. Cindy was the only one who remained true and cast a vote for Lydia.
Judd's mouth, which he could never control, cut loose several choice words for the remaining tribe members.
"I hope you guys get bitten by a crocodile," Judd said as his torch was put out. "Scum bags, all of you."
