Burn victim delivers himself to Bracken EMS

BROOKSVILLE (LI) -- Finding burn victim, Christopher Cummins of Brooksville, was easy for Bracken County EMS, Tuesday. He walked in the door at the EMS squad building and asked for help.

According to authorities, Cummins was driven to the EMS building in Brooksville about 7 p.m., and complained of having suffered burns.

"A man arrived in a truck and walked in the door," said Bracken County EMS coordinator Betty McClanahan.

Cummins was taken by Bracken County Ambulance, which intercepted a paramedic from Transcare and proceeded on to the Alexandria area. An air ambulance was met at a department store parking lot which took Cummins to University Hospital in Cincinnati.

Reports to EMS said Cummins indicated he had been burned while tending a brush fire.

According to hospital spokesmen, Cummins was listed in good condition Wednesday.
