Keen observation by Detective Ken Fuller of the Maysville Police Department paid dividends Wednesday with the apprehension of a suspect considered one of the area's most wanted.

Fuller reported he was traveling south on Jersey Ridge Road after leaving the courthouse at approximately 1 p.m., when he spotted a red Cadillac automobile known to be used by Quinton M. Jackson, traveling northbound.

Jackson was the primary target in a raid conducted on Nov. 16, when officers from MPD and the Mason County Sheriff's Office assisted by an agent with the Buffalo Trace/Gateway Area Narcotics Task Force, executed a felony search warrant on a residence on Williams Street in Maysville. At the time of the raid, the agent for the task force said the search resulted in some evidence being recovered that indicated drug trafficking and marijuana cultivation had been taking place inside the residence along with the confiscation of a firearm, but that Jackson was not located.

Upon spotting Jackson's vehicle Wednesday, Fuller pursued in hopes of gaining positive identification on the fugitive. Fuller caught up to the vehicle on Kentucky 8 travelling toward Maysville and with the assistance of Officer Jeremy Poe, stopped the vehicle on Rodgers Road, a dead end street.

Fuller said a female driver exited the vehicle and proceeded to grab a toddler out of the back seat. During this time, Fuller said he could not see Jackson in the vehicle causing him to wonder whether Jackson had jumped from the vehicle or was hiding inside.

After cautiously approaching with Poe as backup, Jackson was found and apprehended from the front passenger seat of the vehicle. Jackson offered no resistance and was taken without incident.

Jackson was transported to the Mason County Detention Center and is currently charged with felony flagrant nonsupport although other charges are expected to be filed, according to police.

The female driver was identified as Andrea Lynn Jones, 27, of 1024 Williams Street, Maysville, the same location as the previous warrant raid. She was not arrested at the scene but charges are anticipated including obstruction of government operation and harboring a fugitive, police said.

The Maysville Police Department is also asking for the public's assistance in apprehending two other wanted individuals. William A. Slater, also known as "Little Man," has been convicted of drug trafficking among other crimes. He is currently wanted for probation and parole violation warrants and is known to be wanted out of Brown County, Ohio. Slater is also wanted by Maysville Police and the Buffalo Trace/Gateway Area Narcotics Task Force for drug related charges. Slater, 30, is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs, 210 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Police are also searching for Aaron K. Steward, 25, for narcotics violations. A warrant was issued for his arrest after a search of his residence by Maysville Police and the Buffalo Trace/Gateway Area Narcotics Task Force. Steward is 6 feet tall, weighs 170 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. Anyone spotting these individuals should call the Maysville Police Department at 606-564-9411.
