Christmas decoration contest

Area residents are being encouraged to snap a photo of their Christmas decorations and submit them to The Ledger Independent's on-line Christmas decoration contest, "Homes for the Holidays."

Photos should be e-mailed to stephen.strunk@lee.net in the jpg format , mailed or hand-delivered to The ledger Independent office at 120 Limestone Street, Maysville. All photos of outside decorations must be submitted by 5 p.m., Dec. 14.

Residents throughout the newspaper's coverage area are eligible, with the exception of those who work for or are independent contractors for The Ledger Independent.

Photos of the decorations will be displayed at www.maysville-online.com in the Photo Gallery. Voting will take place Dec. 15-20, on-line only at www.maysville-online.com, in the poll at the bottom of the home page and winners will be determined by the number of votes received. The first place winner will receive $100 and two honorable mentions will receive $50 each.

Winners will be announced in the Christmas Eve edition of The Ledger Independent.
