The University of Kentucky is proud to recognize the outstanding academic performance of its students, including 10 students from Mason County who were named to the UK Dean’s List for the fall 2007 semester.
To make a Dean’s List in one of the UK colleges, a student must earn a grade point average of 3.6 or higher and must have earned 12 credits or more in that semester, excluding credits earned in pass-fail classes. Some UK colleges require a 3.5 GPA to make the Dean’s List. A total of 4,297 students achieved Dean’s List recognition.
"UK is happy to tout the academic success of its students, such as those who have been named to the fall 2007 Dean’s List,” said UK President Lee T. Todd Jr. “The success of our students reflects well on them, their parents, the high schools from which they graduated, and our faculty at the university.”
The students from Mason County on the UK Dean’s List are James W. Adams III, a junior studying in the College of Arts and Sciences from Maysville; Melissa Paige Bone, a senior studying in the College of Arts and Sciences from Maysville; Christina Taylor Calland, a senior studying architecture from May's Lick; Wesley Meade Downing, a sophomore studying education from Maysville; Ryan Barton Eads, a freshman studying in the College of Arts and Sciences from Maysville; Christi Kay Harnish, a sophomore studying education from Maysville; Rebecca Hensley, a junior studying communication; Carrie Ann Rollins, a junior studying in the College of Arts and Sciences from Maysville; Michael Joseph Sweeney, a freshman studying computer science from May's Lick and Timothy Joseph Waits, a freshman studying mechanical engineering from Maysville.
