CINCINNATI -- Mrs. Mary Anne Power Sasser, 61, died on Sunday, May 4, 2008, at Hospice of Cincinnati due to sudden complications from a long battle with breast cancer and melanoma.

She was born Jan. 2, 1947, in Maysville, the daughter of the late Edward Stuard and Elizabeth Wolfe Power.

In 1966, after attending Eastern Kentucky University, she moved to Cincinnati and started working at P&G. Several years later, in 1973, she got her real estate license, which began a long and successful career in real estate sales. She started with Herron, Hansen and Rebon Realtors in Hyde Park and worked her way to Re/Max Unlimited in Montgomery.

Mary Anne was a member of the Cincinnati Area Board of Realtors and was in the Circle of Excellence 20 plus years.

A month after their daughter, Anne graduated from Indian Hill High School, Mary Anne and her husband, Bill moved downtown to Adams Landing where she became an integral part of the sales team. Mary Anne was a great promoter of the enjoyment and convenience of downtown living and worked non-stop to make her beloved Adams Landing a destination. In addition to Adams Landing, Mary Anne was a huge proponent of both the performing and fine arts offered in Cincinnati. Bill and she have had season tickets to the opera since the mid 80s and have been avid supporters of the Playhouse and the Ensemble Theater for years. Her other passion was working with Kinderfelt NO. 50, Ronald MacDonald House and Dress for Success, three organizations she was very proud to be a part of and looked forward to assisting throughout the years.

“When Mary Anne entered a room, it got brighter. She always made people smile and put the aspirations of others ahead of her own. My mother was a remarkable woman and will be sorely missed.” quoted, Anne Sasser.

Mary Anne is survived by her husband of 38 years, William M. Sasser; her daughter, Anne Pryor Sasser of Boston, Mass.; her sister, Martha Elizabeth MacMullen (Bruce) of Charles Town, W.Va.; and her niece, Lora Elizabeth MacMullen of Providence, R.I.

A memorial service will be held at Adams Landing on May 18 at 3 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the Ronald MacDonald House, 350 Erkenbrecher Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45229 and Dress for Success 135 West Fourth Street, Cincinnati, Ohio 45202.
