MR. SWARTZ

MAYSVILLE   Roy W. Swartz, 71, of Maysville passed away Friday, May 9,  at his home.  He was a retired insurance agent in Robertson County for 30 years and established AI Teck in Robertson County in 1967.

       Mr. Swartz was born in Mason County on Oct. 20, 1936, son of the late Charles Elmer and Dorothy Devon Swartz. He was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church  and more recently attended Orangeburg Christian Church.  He was preceded in death by his wife Zelma Henson Swartz  in 1990.

       He is survived by four children, Ricky (Sonya) Swartz of Maysville, Melinda (Ernie) Hendricks, Randy (Bobbi) Swartz and Michelle Painter, all of Versailles; six grandchildren, Monica (Justin) Barden, Tiffany (Neil) Trimble, Krisiti (Richard) Harris, Jeremy Hendricks, Chris Swartz and Shanda Painter; two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Jayden Harris; one aunt Marguerite (James) Howard of Maysville; and a special friend Wanda DeAtley.

       Services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday at Palmer Funeral Home in May’s Lick with Rev. E. Ray Throckmorton and Rev. Norman Wasson officiating.  Interment will follow in the Green Acres Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Barden, Neil Trimble, Richard Harris, Jeremy Hendricks, Chris Swartz, James Howard, Jerry Gardner, Lowell Haggard, Richard Bailey and Kenneth Throckmorton.
