He retired as the CEO of Federal Highways and was the beloved husband of Loretta Keyser Lewis for 67 years. He was active in the Friends of the Library in both Flemingsburg and Maysville and other organizations that further young people's education. Mr. Lewis graduated from Marshall University with a bachelor's degree in economics and practiced as a certified public accountant until his death. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason. Survivors include three daughters, Mary Lewis Campbell (John Robert) of Huntington, W. Va., Helen Sue Marshall (Garey) of Wallingford, and Janet Elaine Lewis of Marina Del Ray, Calif.; a son, Lawrence James Lewis (Lexa) of Huntington; two brothers, Jack Lewis (Renee Sue) of Huntington and Herman Lewis of St. Albans, W. Va.; five grandchildren, Rhonda Littleton Whitson, Benjamin James Littleton, John Brett Campbell, Jacob Lawrence Lewis and Margaret Ellen Lewis Miner; and four great-grandchildren, Kayla Dawn Campbell, Carlena Denae Whitson, Carl David Whitson and Madigan Marshall. Visitation is after 6 p.m., Friday, May 9, 2008, at the Denton-Workman Funeral Home in Flemingsburg with Masonic Rites at 7 p.m. Interment will be Saturday, May 10, 2008, at 1 p.m. in the Forest lawn Memorial Gardens in Huntington.
