Cicada Watch reports:

Kevin Dugan, Aberdeen -- Found a cicada as he planted flowers Saturday.

Polly Haggard, Old Washington -- Saw "hundreds" emerging from the ground Saturday.

Marilyn DeAtley, Tuckahoe Road -- Spotted cicadas at her home near Dover.


Jacque Smith, Manchester -- Reported that her porch and a outside wall of her house is covered with shed skins.

Mary Whalen, Augusta -- Said she can hear the song of the cicadas at her home on Tallner Road but has not physically seen them.

Bob Grutza, Maysville -- Snapped a photo with his iPhone of a cicada at his home on Valentine Drive.

Whitney Bowling, Manchester -- The 12 year old found a cicada in the front yard of her Yates Road home on Tuesday.

Carolyn Mason, Quebeck, Tenn. -- Said cicada are in full force in her hometown, began seeing them 2 weeks ago and began hearing them Monday.

Rita Ross, Flemingsburg -- Reports finding at least 200 on trees and shrubbery and in yard. "You can;t walk without stepping on one," she said.


Joyce Zeigler, Plumville -- Found one in her flower bed as she was trimming.

Geneva Rigg, Valley View -- Said her the yard of her Ash Street home is full of cicadas.

Thelma Marshall, Flemingsburg -- Her daughter said the cicadas are "thick," on the house, porch and trees.

Kenneth Buckley, Carpenter Lane -- Reported Friday seeing 10 to 15 cicadas in trees around his home in western Mason County. Buckley said the cicada were small, but out of their shells.

Janie Whisman, Orangeburg -- Said she found cicadas in her garden along the creek on Mount Carmel Road.

Jeff Fulton, Sardis -- Spotted shed skins on the cover of his dad's motorcycle.
