Adams County man murdered in Over-The-Rhine

CINCINNATI (LI) -- An Adams County man was shot to death in downtown Cincinnati Friday afternoon while traveling in the area of Over-The-Rhine.

According to Cincinnati newspaper and television reports, Robert Walls, 43, was found shot to death in a car on Central Parkway near Elm Street around 12:09 p.m. Police officials said the shooting took place in the area of 13th and Race streets in downtown, but the driver of the red Dodge Intrepid in which Adams was a passenger didn't stop until it reached Central Parkway. The car stopped near a Cincinnati Water Works vehicle.

Hamilton County Coroner O'dell Owens said Walls was shot several times; eight evidence markers were placed at the scene of the shooting.

Three people seen running from the area were taken into custody. Police said each was questioned and later released.
