CINCINNATI (LI) -- An Adams County man was shot to death in downtown Cincinnati Friday afternoon while traveling in the area of Over-The-Rhine.

According to Cincinnati newspaper and television reports, Robert Walls, 43, was found shot to death in a car on Central Parkway near Elm Street around 12:09 p.m. Police officials said the shooting took place in the area of 13th and Race streets in downtown, but the driver of the red Dodge Intrepid in which Adams was a passenger didn't stop until it reached Central Parkway. The car stopped near a Cincinnati Water Works vehicle.

Hamilton County Coroner O'dell Owens said Walls was shot several times; eight evidence markers were placed at the scene of the shooting.

Three people seen running from the area were taken into custody. Police said each was questioned and later released.

Anyone with information should call the Cincinnati Police Department Criminal Investigations Section at 513-352-3542 or Crime Stoppers at 513-352-3040.
