Whitney Owens graduates with honors from Georgetown

Whitney Taylor Owens, a 2004 honor graduate of St. Patrick High School recently received a bachelor of science degree in accounting from Georgetown College in Georgetown, Ky.

The commencement was held on Saturday, May 10, 2008, on Giddings Lawn. Whitney graduated cum laude. She was recognized at the Academic Honors Day in April at John Hill Chapel for being a member of Honor Society Alpha Lambda Delta. Whitney was an active member of Sigma Kappa Sorority.

Georgetown College is a four year private, residential liberal arts college. It is founded in 1787 and is a leading nationally ranked Baptist College in U.S. News and Worlds annual rankings, and is America's College of Distinction and is ranked one of America's Best Christian Colleges.

Whitney is the daughter of Roger and Maurita Owens of Maysville and the granddaughter of the late Leroy and Margaret Gallenstein and the late Kirk and Frances Owens.

Whitney is employed as a tax accountant at Cincinnati Bell in Cincinnati.
