Browning-Blackburn vows exchanged July 5

Charity Marie Browning, formerly of Maysville and Christopher Roger Blackburn of Noblesville, Ind., were married on July 5, 2008 at the Maysville Church of the Nazarene. The Rev. Les Williams officiated

Charity is the daughter of Tony and Peggy Browning of Dover and Christopher is the son of Roger and Rhonda Blackburn of Peru, Ind.

The lovely bride was given in marriage by her father. Charity was radient in her designer dress of satin, with silk embroidery, sequins and a cathedral length train. She wore a matching shoulder length veil also with silk embroidery and sequins. Charity carried a mixture of yellow and white daisies. Serving as maid of honor was Hope Browning, sister of the bride, of Murray. Bridesmaids were Charity Wood of Maysville, Andrea Steigleder of Maysville, Melissa Simpson, sister of the groom, of Lafayette, Ind. and Aire Browning, sister-in-law of the bride, of Augusta. The attendants were dressed in floor length gowns of sage, with tea straps and carried white daisies. Miss Olivia O'Hearn, cousin of the bride, of Maysville was the flower girl. She also was dressed in a floor length dress with touches of yellow and carried a basket of yellow petals.

Serving as best man was Adam Overman of Peru. Groomsmen were Zack Overman, cousin of the groom of Peru, Aaron Overman, cousin of the groom, of Peru, James Browning, brother of the bride, of Maysville and Stephen Browning, brother of the bride, of Augusta.

Aiden Overman, cousin of the groom of Peru, served as the ring bearer.

A lovely reception was held at the Maysville Conference Center. Tables were adorned with candles, mirrors and beautiful yellow petals. Delicious punch and a three-tiered cake was served to guests after the appetizers. The beautiful cake was surrounded with fresh yellow daisies and a topper with a heart and doves.

Charity is a graduate of Morehead State University and is a sales/service specialist for National City. Christopher is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University and is a marketing communications associate for ExaroMEd.

Mr. and Mrs. Roger Blackburn of Peru, Ind. hosted the rehearsal dinner party at de Sha's Restaurant on Friday evening following the rehearsal.


The couple honeymooned at Disneyworld in Orlando, Fla. and they are now residing in Noblesville.

Charity is the granddaughter of Dorothy O'Hearn Burrows and the late Jim O'Hearn, the late Jean Browning and Phil Browning.
