Closing in on the three million mark, Kentucky's registered voters have just under a month to decide who they will choose in national, state and local political races.
Monday was the last day to register to vote in the general election on Nov. 4.
Official numbers for registered voters, as of Sept. 15, were 2,894,299 in Kentucky, comprised of 1,656,242 Democrats, 1,049,459 Republicans and 188,598 registered as other affiliations.
Female voters in Kentucky outnumber male voters 1,531,748 to 1,262,405.
In a county by county tally of local numbers, Bracken has 6,013 registered voters, with women outnumbering the men, and party division of 4,757 Democrats, 1,043 Republicans and 213 other party voters.
"Those numbers will be changing, we have had 40 to 50 more sign up since Sept. 15 and there were several sign up today," said Bracken County Clerk RaeJean Poe.
All counties reported increased voter registration since Sept. 15, though exact numbers will not be out until early next week, officials said.
In Fleming County, there are 10,210 voters currently listed, with additional voters to be added, officials there said. Democrats outnumber Republicans 7,185 to 2,646 and 379 other category voters; women also outnumber male voters in Fleming County.
Lewis County represents a flip in affiliation numbers, with 9,793 registered voters comprised of 2,430 Democrats and 7,040 Republicans with 323 other affiliations. Female voters are ahead in Lewis County by a narrow margin of 4,931 to 4,859.
Mason County, with 12,054 registered voters tips the scale with 8,118 Democrats, 3,148 Republicans and 788 other voters. Women there outnumber the men by nearly 100 votes.
Robertson County, with 1,694 registered voters is predominantly Democrat with 1,441 Democrats, 222 Republicans and 31 other voters. Women voters outnumber men by 14 voters.
With registration windows closed, voters may also file for absentee voting privileges until Oct. 28, Poe said.
Early voting is also available prior to election day, officials said.
"We hope to have the absentee voting machine in place on Friday so those who have a qualified reason for not being able to vote on Nov. 4 can vote," Poe said.
Voter information is posted on the Kentucky Secretary of State Web site at www.elect.ky.gov
