Meadowview reaches milestone
Wednesday, December 12, 2007 11:38 AM EST Print this story | Email this story
Meadowview Regional Medical Center is celebrating a milestone, one that seems particularly fitting for this time of year when we celebrate the birth of a child.

On Saturday, Caleb Lee Heater entered this world at Meadowview becoming the 10,000th baby born at the Maysville hospital. And while we are sure mom and dad, Emily Snapp and Josh Heater are certainly proud of the addition to their family, we are equally sure that doctors, nurses, administrators and other support staff members at Meadowview are proud of their accomplishments.

The first baby delivered at Meadowview arrived on Feb. 9, 1983. In the ensuing almost 25 years, babies have made their debut at a rate of about 400 a year at the medical facility. Today, many of those babies still call our area home, work here, go to school here, attend our churches, belong to our civic organizations, contribute to our charities and make our community better than it was before.

We tip our hats to the Meadowview team and the 10,000 new citizens which it has introduced to the world.

" For those of you that think Meadowview hospital does not give quality service I invite you to try other small town hospitals and compare them. Not only does Meadowview have a caring and knowledgable staff they are our neighbors and friends that are willing to provide for others inside and outside of the hospital setting.
I applaud you Meadowview for your accomplishments.
Congratulations!!! "

" The only good news I could hear about Meadowview is that it has been shut down. If you need anything more than an aspirin or a bandaid your shuttled away. "
