MOWRYSTOWN, Ohio -- Mrs. Clara Leota "Oakie" Williams, 91, of Lebanon, formerly of Mowrystown, Ohio, died Friday morning Oct. 10, 2008 at the Otterbein Retirement Center in Lebanon, Ohio.
She was born Sept. 27, 1917 in Hillsboro, Ky., the daughter of Thomas Todd and Etta Denton Todd.
She was a member of the Mowrystown Presbyterian Church. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother who always welcomed people into her home.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James B. and Suzanne Williams of Worthington, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Williams; brother, Harlan Todd; and sisters, Madeline Colliver, Lela Wilson and Wilma Spencer.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2008, at the Edgington Funeral Home, 17 East Main Street, Mowrystown, Ohio with Rev. James Ludwick officiating.
Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park in Flemingsburg.
Visitation is 4-7 p.m., Monday, Oct. 13, 2008, at the funeral home in Mowrystown.
If desired, memorial contributions may be given to the memorial fund at the Mowrystown Presbyterian Church, The Benevolent Fund at Otterbein Retirement Center or Crossroads Hospice of Dayton.
