TOLLESBORO -- Mrs. Dorothy Jean Johnson Dunigan, 74, of Concord died Wednesday, Oct. 8, 2008, at the residence of her daughter, Deloris Tully.
She was born in Lewis County on Jan. 11, 1934, to the late Sherman Johnson and Goldie Cooley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Thomas "Tink" Dunigan.
Mrs. Dunigan was a housewife, homemaker and a farmer and a member of Hickory Grove Christian Holiness Church.
She is survived by her children, Linda Carolyn Toller and husband, Lee, Steve Dunigan and wife, Marsha, Mike Dunigan and wife, Patty, Debbie McCann and husband, Harold and Deloris Tully and husband, Darrell, all of Concord; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Brenda Lourena Toller and Rita Faye Dunigan; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; and two brothers, Bill Johnson and Roscoe Johnson.
Services are 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 11, 2008, at the Barbour and Son Funeral Home in Tollesboro. The Rev. Danny Butler will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Muses Chapel Cemetery in Quicks Run. Pallbearers include Adam Dunigan, John Dunigan, Tyler Toller, Jeremy Tully, Timothy Tully, Billy Hardy and Frankie Applegate.
Visitation is 5-9 p.m., today at the funeral home.
