MR. LYKINS

TOLLESBORO -- Gene Robert Lykins, 87, of Rectorville died Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 22, 1920, in Lewis County to the late Issac Lykins and Anna Paynter Lykins.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Breeze Lykins of Rectorville. They were married 61 years and were married on Dec. 24, 1946. Mr. Lykins was a farmer and landowner.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews and he was preceded in death by three brothers, Ray Lykins, Glenn Lykins and Dorsey Lykins; and one sister, Ruby Barid.

Services are 2 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at the Barbour and Son Funeral Home in Tollesboro. Pastor David Shoemaker will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Gardens of Memories in Mason County. Pallbearers will be Larry Breeze, David Polley, Linza Mason, Dale Ladenburger, Cecil Bellamy and Chris Weber.

Visitation is Sunday, 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
