VOLLEYBALL

The Deming Lady Devils concluded regular season play with a 2-0 (25-16, 25-6) loss on the road at Montgomery County on Wednesday.

Jessica Hester and Rebecca Stitt paced Deming, with each getting three kills.

Coach Ann Grause did pass along one positive note, mentioning that the junior varsity squad ended their season unbeaten with a win over Montgomery County.

The Lady Devils (12-9) will play 21-10 Harrison County on Monday in the 38th district tournament in Mount Olivet.

GIRLS' BASKETBALL

MASON COUNTY 48, BRACKEN COUNTY 29 -- Taylor Allen scored 16 points to lead Mason County's eighth-grade team. Mason County (12-2) will travel to Lexington Christian this weekend for a tournament.

MASON COUNTY (48): Allen 5 6 16, Butler 2 0 4, Henry 3 0 6, Likins 5 0 10, Morton 3 0 6, Poe 3 0 6.

BRACKEN COUNTY (29): Conley 2 0 4, Bell 2 5 9, Simons 1 0 2, Berry 0 1 1, Tarvin 2 2 6, Lippert 1 0 2, Wills 2 0 5.
