Freshman Chris Owens came off the bench to score eight points in Transylvania University's basketball opener last Saturday, a 65-63 win against Centre College. Owens, a graduate of St. Patrick's School, shot 3-of-5 from the field, including 2-of-4 from 3-point range. He played 11 minutes.
