WEST UNION, Ohio — An Adams County grand jury has indicted several Adams County residents, with theft or drugs cited in each case.
According to police, many area thefts and breaking and entering incidents can be traced to drug activity within the region and beyond.
Rebecca Caldwell, 30, of Lynx, Ohio was indicted for illegal assembly or possession of chemicals for the manufacture of drugs, a third-degree felony which could carry a five-year sentence and $10,000 fine.
Michael Grooms, 19, of West Union was indicted for grand theft, also a third-degree felony.
Kevin Miller, 35, of Peebles, Ohio, and Bobby Temple, 41, of Winchester, Ohio, were both indicted for aggravated possession of drugs; Temple is facing two counts and Miller one count.
Mark Blanton, 26, of Bethel, Ohio, was indicted on a fifth degree charge of breaking and entering.
Sarah Hughes, 22, of Blue Creek, Ohio, Ernest Unger Jr., 32, of Manchester, Ohio, Joshua Jones, 25, of Seaman, Ohio, and Miranda Johnson, 25, of Seaman have all been indicted on fifth-degree breaking and entering charges related to a burglary at a church in West Union, police said.
Each fifth-degree felony carries a possible jail term of 12 months and $2,500 fine.
