After numerous calls from concerned readers, The Ledger Independent will begin accepting monetary donations in order to replace Anna Plummer's computer.

Plummer's laptop was stolen from her Wood Street apartment Sunday evening. Plummer, who was recently diagnosed with cancer, used the computer to research treatments and keep in contact with family members.

Any money left over after the purchase of the computer will be distributed to local cancer care organizations in The Ledger Independent's circulation area.
