AUGUSTA -- An exhibit celebrating life along the Ohio River will be on display at the Augusta Art Guild Gallery Oct. 6-29.
According to Leah Frederick, with the Augusta Art Guild, the exhibit will feature paintings from Marilyn Lustik of Augusta and Jeanne Grant of Ripley, Ohio.
"The exhibit will feature paintings that reflect their lives in these two iconic river town," Frederick said. "Both artists are prolific painters and their work has been shown in a wide variety of local and regional venues."
According to Frederick, Grant currently mentors the Ripley Painters, who meet at the Ripley Public Library each week, and Lustik is involved in community activities, such as Beautify Augusta.
An opening reception for the exhibit will be held Friday, Oct. 6 from 6-8 p.m. at the Augusta Art Gallery in Augusta.
Refreshments will be served and visitors will have the opportunity to meet both of the artists.
According to Frederick, the exhibit runs through Oct. 29 and can be seen during the regular gallery hours every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.
The Augusta Art Guild Gallery is located at 116 Main Street in Augusta.
