Alison Case Lundergan and Andrew Newman Grimes of Lexington were united in marriage on Sept. 2, 2006, at 2:30 in the afternoon at Christ the King Cathedral.
Father Robert Bueter and Father James Sichko officiated. A reception immediately followed the ceremony at the home of the bride's parents. A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom's parents at the Idle Hour Country Club.
The bride is the daughter of Charlotte and Gerald Lundergan of Lexington. She is the granddaughter of Elsie and Omar Case, the late Eugene Lundergan and Thelma McHugh. The groom is the son of Nancy and Allen Grimes Jr. of Lexington. He is the grandson of the late Sara and Allen Grimes Sr. and the late George Howard and Jane Howard.
The maid of honor was the bride's sister, Ashley Lundergan. The bridesmaids included the bride's sisters, Alissa Tibe, Abigail Dobson and Amy Lundergan, as well as Lindsay Hughes, Megan Adkins, Elisabeth Yoder, Rebecca Smallpage, Lindsay Johnson and Mary Rose Browder. The best man, was the groom's brother, Reed Grimes. The groomsmen included Sam Mischner, William Coffman, Robert Cowgill, Carling Dinkler IV, William Wallace III, David Dodack, Drew Crichton, Russell Hewit and Gonzalo Carrilllo. The flower girl was Rebecca Mahaffey and the ring bearers were nephews Charles Grimes and Harrison Tibe.
The bride is a graduate of The American University, Washington College of Law in Washington, D.C. where she graduated cum laude, receiving her juris doctorate, as well as Rhodes College in Memphis, Tenn. where she received her bachelor of arts in political science. She is employed as an associate with Stoll Keenon Ogden, PLLC of Lexington.
The groom is a graduate of Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Va., where he received his bachelor of science in accounting and business administration with special attainments in commerce. He is employed as a marketing associate with New Media Strategies, Inc. of Arlington, Va.
