WEST UNION, Ohio – A Seaman man was recently sentenced to 36 years in prison in Adams County Common Pleas Court.
William Lewis Clark, 33, pleaded guilty to six counts of second-degree felony pandering sexually oriented material involving children, after graphic images depicting children were found in his possession.
Clark was arrested in early June and indicted in July on two counts of pandering obscenity, one count pandering sexual material, one count illegal minor nudity and five counts of pandering sexual material, all felonies of the second degree.
According to reports, sources close to the investigation believe that the victim involved was under the age of 12. The crime was committed on or before New Years Day in 2008.
According to the court records, Clark was sentenced to six years prison time for each charge, as well as being classified as a Class II sex offender for 25 years upon release and having to pay a $3,200 fine, all in addition to court costs.
According to Ohio law, a tier two sex offender is a level of severity above tier one but one below tier three. A tier two sex offender must register their address every six months for 25 years. Other offenses in the tier include compelling prostitution, child endangering, and kidnapping with sexual motivation.
Clark is currently housed at the Correctional Reception Center in Orient, Ohio.
