State officials said Wednesday that flood damage repairs on Kentucky 419 in Mason County will require daytime closures of the highway for the remainder of this week.
Embankment work will take place two-tenths mile south of the North Fork of Licking River Bridge, between the bridge and Clift Pike at the 2.6-mile point. Work will require Kentucky 419 to be closed from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. each day at the work site, according to Kentucky Transportation Cabinet District 9 spokesperson Allen Blair. Only local traffic will be permitted from Key Pike to Kentucky 3170 in Lewisburg during work hours.
Through traffic may detour via Kentucky 324 to U.S. 68 at May's Lick or via Kentucky 324 to Kentucky 11 at Wedonia, officials said.
Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions. Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
