MR. BLANKENSHIP
DOVER — Jerry Ray Blankenship, age 61, of Dover passed away at St. Elizabeth Hospital Friday.
Mr. Blankenship was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Viet Nam.
He was born in Mason County on Feb. 4, 1948, to the late Loren and Edna Fortune Blankenship.
He is survived by his wife, Kathey White Blankenship of Dover; five children, Jerry Wayne (Tammy) Blankenship of Maysville, Tony (Robin) Doyle of Williamstown, Kandy (Tony) Turner of Dover, Judy (Doug) Terrill of Paris and Travis Blankenship of Starks, La.; one brother, Bob Blankenship of Indiana; three sisters, Barbara Kabler of Dover, Kathy (Denver) Ratliff of Alabama and Jennie Mastin of Maysville; 11 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Leonard officiating. Burial will be in Shannon Cemetery with military rites performed by the Maysville V.F.W. Post. Visitation will be held after 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
