MAYSVILLE -- Norman Russell Applegate, 87, of Maysville, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017, at the Robertson County Healthcare Facility.
Mr. Applegate retired from Ohio Pattern Works and was a member of the New Beginnings Family Worship Center. He was born in Lewis County on June 2, 1930, the son of the late Lloyd J. and Hester O'Cull Applegate.
Survivors include his wife, Pauline Wallingford Applegate; his children, Gregory Applegate (Amanda) and Melissa Burns (George), both of Maysville; five grandchildren, Kendrick Applegate (Linda), Vanessa Applegate, Jessica Salisbury, Amber Johnson (Lamont) and Alicia Burns; one step-grandson, Logan Tucker; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Charles Applegate, H.R. “Dink” Applegate (Lisa), Lola Johnston (Virgil), all of Florida and Bertha Evans (Bob) of Tollesboro.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alesia Burns; four brothers, James, Delbert, Wendell and Herbert Curtis Applegate.
Services for Norman Applegate will be held at the New Beginnings Family Worship Center at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, with Pastor George Burns officiating.
Entombment will be in the Hillcrest Garden of Memories Mausoleum.
Visitation will be held at Knox and Brothers Funeral Home on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2017 from 5-8 p.m.
