FLEMINGSBURG -- William “Bill” Ivan Arnold, 87, of Maysville, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2018, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center.
Born on Oct. 18, 1930, in Cincinnati, he was the son of the late Ivan and Freda Williams Arnold.
Bill graduated from the University of Kentucky with a bachelor's degree in agriculture and went on to work as a research facilitator at Purdue University Hog Farms. He proudly served his country in United States Army, a veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his brothers, Robert “Bob” (Joan) Arnold of Alabama, and James P. “Jim” (Tita) Arnold of Lexington; his sister, Betty A. Hamm of Flemingsburg; along with several nieces and nephews; and his Kenton Pointe family.
Services will begin at 1 p.m., Friday, March 9, at Boone-Nickell Funeral Home with Bro. Chris Hamm officiating.
Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Military rites will be performed by the W.N. Fant American Legion Post No. 5 and Franklin Sousley VFW Post 1834.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
