BROOKSVILLE | Ronald Earl Honan, 66, of Brooksville, died at home Thursday, May 2, 2013.

He was born on Feb. 7, 1947, the eldest son of the late Corlis Earl and Marjorie Jett Honan.

Ron was a lifetime farmer and worked for 23 years with Brooksville Farm Supply. Ron was a Kentucky Colonel, member of NRA, Bracken County Cruisers, and a member of Brooksville United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Wallin Honan; one sister, Bonnie (Jerry) Dixon of Flemingsburg, two brothers, Robert (Linda) Honan of Lexington, and Eddie Honan of Maysville; one son, Jeff (Patty) Honan of Brooksville, three daughters, Sharon (Brian) McNeese of Jeffersonville, Tracy Honan Bentle of Alexandria, and Brandi (Eric Downs) Honan of Louisville; 12 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

Services 2 p.m., Monday at the Brooksville United Methodist Church.

Burial will follow in the Brooksville Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. on Sunday at Moore and Parker Funeral Home in Brooksville and 1:30-2 p.m. on Monday at Brooksville United Methodist Church.

Memorials are suggested to Bracken County Cancer Support or Brooksville United Methodist Church.
