FLEMINGSBURG -- John Paul Kirkland, 43, of Mount Sterling, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
John Paul was born Feb. 4, 1974, in Maysville, to Paul Newman “Butch” Kirkland Jr. of Foxport and Phyllis Ann Hord Goodpastor of Mount Sterling.
He was the owner operator of JPK Window Tinting in Mount Sterling for over 25 years.
He is survived by his parents; his daughter, Hannah Marie Kirkland and her mother, Jennifer Harmon Kirkland of Mount Sterling; his siblings, Bret Kirkland of Lexington and Trevor Kirkland and wife, Rachel, of Richmond and their children, Sarah Grace and Zachary; his aunts and uncles, Keith and wife Brenda Kirkland, Jane Kirkland and Carol and husband, Ray Howell; several cousins; and a host of friends.
John Paul was preceded in death by his twin brothers, Brad and Brent Kirkland.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 6, 2018, at Flemingsburg Baptist Church (1856 Elizaville Rd., Flemingsburg, KY 41041) with Bro. Layne Wagner officiating.
Burial will follow in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Pallbearers include Pat Brannen, Chris Lykins, Dallas Rice, Brian Wallingford, William McDaniel and Greg Harmon. Earl Harmon will be an honorary pallbearer.
Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, at the church.
