MAYSVILLE | Audrey Havens Lanham passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Hospice of Cincinnati East.
Once again we are reminded of the "uncertainty of life" by the passing of one whom we dearly loved, Audrey (Havens) Lanham. In the midst of life we are in death! To be sure we were all born to die; life is "uncertain" at all times; death is "certain" at some time; however, it is an ordeal to which we must all submit.
Audrey was born the daughter of Charles and Clara (Frye) Havens on Feb. 22, 1923 in Trinity.
Her life here with us was 90 years 43 and days. She was united in marriage to the late Edwin Lanham on May 20, 1944, and to this union one daughter was born, Judy (Lanham) Evans.
Other survivors left to mourn her are son-in-law, Donald Evans of Maineville, Ohio; her grandson, Doug Evans and his wife, Angela Evans of Loveland, Ohio; hosts of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and neighbors mourn her passing
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Katherine Hayes and Margaret Hayes; and brothers, Garner Havens and Kenneth Havens.
Audrey confessed "her faith in the Savior" and was baptized into the Christian Church of Sand Hill and later moved her membership to the Felicity Christian Church. Here her membership remained until her death. She was a graduate of Minerva High School. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.
Although she has departed this life, she will always be remembered by those who knew and loved her. All that knew her have been blessed by her joyfulness and great love for life. Her life is and will remain a shining light to all that knew and loved her.
Services for Audrey will be 1 p.m. ,Wednesday April 10, 2013, at Brell and Son Funeral Home with Rev. Rick Gabelman officiating.
