MAYSVILLE --

Sharon Rose Poe, 65, a resident of Pleasant Ridge Road, died Sunday, June 19, 2011, at Meadowview Regional Medical Center.

She was born on July 4, 1945, the daughter of the late Homer Dick and Melvia Esham Rose.

Mrs. Poe and her late husband, Albert Wayne Poe operated their farm together for many years.

Mrs. Poe attended the Pleasant Ridge Union Church.

Her survivors include one son, Ronnie Poe (Charolette) of Maysville; three daughters, Bonnie (Gerald) Hickerson, Catherine (Charlie) Thompson, both of Maysville and Connie (Gary) Fender of Lynchburg, Ohio; and eight grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers, Fred Rose of Hillsboro, Ohio, and Bill Rose of Vanceburg; and one sister, Irene Bally of Oberlin, Ohio.

Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, was one brother, Harold Rose; and four sisters, Marcella Verbarg, Opal Medley, Marlene Holdcraft and Jane Roberts.

Services for Sharon Poe will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday at the Knox and Brothers Funeral Home with Rev. Gene Brooks and Rev. Dale Bare officiating.

Burial will follow in the Shannon Cemtery. Serving as pallbearers will be Jack Fender, Butch Waits, Gary Wells, David Buerkley, Benny Haywood and Ray Haywood. Honorary bearers will be Gary Merideth, Lanny Cooper and Ralph Buerkley.

Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.
