GEORGETOWN, Ohio – The former chief probation officer of Brown County pleaded guilty to sex crimes Monday, Nov. 27.

Dale Anderson pleaded guilty to one count of fifth-degree felony obstructing official business and third-degree misdemeanor sexual imposition. The plea comes after Anderson originally pleaded not guilty.

According to officials, Anderson had sex with a woman who was on probation and she revealed the allegation during counseling.

Anderson was indicted on Feb. 7 on one count of sexual battery. According to the indictment, Anderson engaged in sexual conduct with a person who was not his spouse and who he had authority over who was not in custody of the law.

The indictment said the activities occurred between Jan. 1, 2009 and Dec. 31, 2010.

Anderson was also a Scott Township Trustee. His sentencing will be held on Dec. 29.
