ABERDEEN, OHIO | One individual was arrested on drug charges by the Aberdeen Police Department early Wednesday, officers said.
According to Chief Greg Caudill, officers were executing a search warrant at about 8 a.m., of property at which Billy Strange resided, when they discovered drug paraphernalia in the home.
According to Caudill, Strange's girlfriend, Katherine Day, and two children were also present at the home as officers conducted the search
Caudill said a search warrant for the property was obtained after numerous alleged drug buys of heroin were made from Strange and his associates.
During the search of the home, officers said they found drug paraphernalia, which included scales, marijuana and medication not in a container.
Strange was taken into custody and lodged in the Brown County Jail, after allegedly making a full confession. He will be moved to the Adams County Jail on another outstanding warrant.
"I would like to thank all of the officers in the department who assisted in the execution of this search warrant," Caudill said.
Caudill also asks anyone with information on illegal drug activity in the area to contact 937-795-2214.
