GEORGETOWN – A Georgetown teen was recently charged as an adult in relation to child sex crimes.
Michael Allender, 17, was charged with three counts of first-degree felony rape and third-degree felony gross sexual imposition.
According to reports, Allender’s case was originally in Brown County Juvenile Court but was moved to adult court earlier this month at the request of Brown County Prosecutor Zac Corbin.
Allender allegedly engaged in sexual conduct with two children, ages 7 and 8, between July 1 and Aug. 1 of this year, according to court documents.
Allender’s bond was set at $350,000 cash or surety and he has been required to pay a bond fee of $110 by Jan. 5. He has also been ordered not to have any contact, directly or indirectly, with either of the victims.
A plea of not guilty was entered by Allender. The case will move forward as Allender is scheduled to have his first pretrial hearing on Jan. 5, 2018 at noon.
