GEORGETOWN, Ohio – Two people were recently sentenced in Brown County Common Pleas Court.

Nicholas Mathew Hay was sentenced to two years of community control after pleading guilty to one count of fifth-degree felony theft from a person in a protected class.

Hay was indicted on Nov. 30 on the above charge as well as another theft from a person in a protected class charge and fifth-degree felony misuse of credit cards. The latter charges were dismissed by the court.

Hay will be subject to supervision and control of the Adult Probation Department during his community control and has been ordered to pay restitution.

James Robert McKibben was sentenced to two years of community control sanctions after pleading guilty to two counts of fourth-degree felony aggravated trafficking in drugs.

McKibben was indicted on Nov. 2 on the above charges as well as another aggravated trafficking in drugs charge and fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs. The latter charges were dismissed by the court.

McKibben will be under the general supervision and control of the Adult Probation Department for the duration of his community control.
