GEORGETOWN, Ohio – Two were sentenced Thursday in Brown County Common Pleas Court.
Coty Napier was sentenced to 36 months in the Ohio Department of Correction after violating his community control.
Napier was sentenced to community control for two years on July 21. He has been convicted of third-degree felony abduction as well as first-degree misdemeanor Domestic Violence. At that time, according to the court, Napier was notified that a violation would result in 36 months in prison.
Napier waived a hearing and admitted to the violations.
According to court records, Napier will have a mandatory post-release control for a maximum of three years.
Christopher B. Nichols was sentenced to two years of community control sanctions subject to intensive supervision and control of the Adult Probation Department after pleading guilty to one count of fifth-degree felony aggravated possession of drugs.
Nichols was indicted on two counts of the above charge as well as one count of fifth-degree felony possession of heroin on Sept. 5.
According to the sentence, Nichols will complete the STAR Program plus any aftercare, which can include transitional living.
