If you have not heard that Jodie Meeks will forgo his senior season to enter the draft, you must be living under the proverbial rock. Clint Tilford of the UK baseball team turned pro this week and will forgo his senior season, but very few are commenting on his leaving UK. In order to make the roster of a major league team , a player must pay his dues in the minors. Jodie Meeks is willing to cast his future on making a NBA team, either through the draft or making it as an free agent. Most experts say Jodie will not get drafted in the first round and will not be guaranteed a roster spot. It is a good gamble on Jodie's part as he will make it , but he might have to take the long road, like Chuck Hayes. Clint Tilford is willing to play in the minors in order to make his dream come true. Two UK athletes forgoing their senior season, so they can chase their dreams and of course the money. At least they are not like O.J. Mayo of USC who took a pay cut to turn pro.
