MR. PAUL RIPLEY, Ohio -- Forrest L. "Pudge" Paul, age 78 of Aberdeen, Ohio, went home to be with his heavenly Father on Thursday, May 8, 2008 at Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown, Ohio. He was a United States Navy World War II Veteran, a United States Army Korean War Veteran, where he was a survivor of the Chosin Reservoir. He was awarded the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, KSM with six bronze camp stars, the United Nations SVO Medal, AOM (Japan), Presidential Unit Citation and CIB Medal. He loved his country and served it proudly. Mr. Paul was also a lifetime member of the American Legion Post #367 of Ripley, the Maysville VFW, DAV (former commander), the 37th Infantry Regiment and a lifetime member of The Chosin Few. He was also a Kentucky Colonel, a lifelong and devoted member of The Ripley Church of Christ and served as The Brown County Veterans Services Commissioner for 17 years. more...
